Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proven track record of optimizing warehouse processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance
management. - Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to maximize
productivity and minimize errors. - Oversee receiving activities, ensuring accurate and timely receipt of incoming shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and physical inventory
audits. - Optimize warehouse layout and storage configurations to maximize space utilization and
facilitate efficient operations. - Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and
supplies for production and order fulfillment. - Collaborate with quality control personnel to implement and enforce quality assurance
standards for incoming and outgoing shipments. - Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
for all warehouse staff. - Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics, such as fill rates, order accuracy, and
on-time delivery, and implement corrective actions as needed. - Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the
warehouse operation. - Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including OSHA and FDA
regulations. - Prepare reports and presentations for senior management summarizing warehouse
performance and key metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related
field (preferred). - Proven experience in warehouse management, with a minimum of over 5 years in a leadership
role. - Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and act upon data to drive decision-making.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing
priorities. - Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment (preferred).
