Senior Logistics Clerk

Job Summary

The Senior Logistics Clerk is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily logistics documentation, dispatch processes, inventory movements, and administrative support within the distribution operation. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies while providing guidance to junior clerical staff.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, verify, and process all logistics documentation including delivery notes, invoices, stock transfer forms, and shipping schedules.
  • Coordinate daily dispatch and receipt activities to ensure timely and accurate distribution of goods.
  • Monitor inventory movements and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Liaise with warehouse, sales, transport, and customer service teams to resolve delivery or stock-related issues.
  • Track vehicle dispatches, delivery performance, and proof of delivery documentation.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems for all logistics records.
  • Provide on-the-job guidance and support to junior logistics clerks.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly logistics and inventory reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, audit requirements, and safety standards.
  • Support stock counts, audits, and investigations into losses or damages.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of CXC / secondary school education; diploma or certification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration is an asset.
  • At least 3–5 years’ experience in logistics, distribution, or inventory administration.
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
