ANSA & MOHA launch D5: Designate a driver, don’t drink & drive

ANSA staff with Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Robeson Benn and other stakeholders

The Ministry of Home Affairs, in partnership with ANSA McAl, has launched the
“Designate a Driver, Don’t Drink and Drive (D5)” road safety campaign.
This initiative encourages drivers to stay safe by choosing a designated driver if they
plan to drink. Tragically, between January 1 and October 26, 2024, 101 lives have been
lost on our roads, the ministry disclosed.

The D5 team was able to visit two prominent bars in the city to sensitize patrons on the
importance of designating a driver. The aim of the campaign is to promote road safety,
encourage responsible drinking, and to promote designated drivers to ultimately reduce
accidents caused by drinking and driving

With support from ANSA Building Solutions, Ms. Queenlatiffa Robertson was able to
fulfill her beauty with a purpose mission; road safety on the East coast. Ms. Robertson
also attended bar visits with the D5 team and copped the most resilient prize in the
pageant.
