ANSA McAL and The ANSA McAL Foundation awarded three NGOs in Georgetown on Tuesday,
signaling their intention to invest GYD$20 million in programmes designed to create impact for
youth and support education in communities across Guyana.
Following a national call for social investment proposals in May that generated over 40 submissions, a rigorous selection process, site visits to shortlisted NGOs and a capacity-building workshop, three NGOs were presented with awards at Cara Lodge by Country Head for Guyana and Suriname, Troy Cadogan.

The awards are a commitment to support:
- Blossom Inc., which will implement a year-long education-equity initiative for vulnerable youth between ages 12 and 26 in Region 7. ($10 million in funding)
- Project New Nation, which will roll out a youth career-guidance programme in Bartica ($5 million)
- Tamùkke Feminists, which will produce a video series aimed at strengthening young women’s voices in the Wapichan indigenous community in the South Rupununi. ($5 million)
Guyanese social development consultant Tiffany Kirton supported the site visits and workshop.
