Medical Sales Representative

JOB SUMMARY
To service all assigned sales routes / customers and to assist in the development and execution of Marketing/Sales Plans designed to develop and grow the business.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Detailing to Doctors and Pharmacists. (Minimum of 7 Doctors and 3 Pharmacies daily).
  • Meet monthly targets
  • Build and maintain trade relationships with customers and ensure that all potential opportunities for sales are fully exploited. Document coverage via recorded visits to customers. Visit key customers in the right frequencies to ensure fulfilment of customers’ needs in a manner consistent with the Company’s Policy.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly orders to Principals based on stock rotation as evidenced by the monthly Stock & Sales Report plus all pending orders (i.e. awaiting shipment, in-transit or landed and awaiting Customs clearance).
  • Keep abreast with the competitions’ activities and market dynamics, including market intelligence, sales penetration, market share development, pricing, promotional offers, and other sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Be familiar with all training materials provided by the Principals, regarding existing and new products. Keep Doctors and Pharmacists informed on the features and benefits of all products.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned periodically.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be proactive and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a science related discipline including but not limited to Medical Technology, Pharmacy, Natural Sciences, Health Sciences, Nursing.
