ANSA’s Dewar Hosts Stiff Dominoes Competition during Linden Town Week

Out of the many activities during the Linden town week this year, ANSA McAL’s Dewar’s Competition was one of the most anticipated. It comprised some of Linden’s best dominoes teams vying for the champion’s title. This was Dewar’s first dominoes competition, and it couldn’t have been launched at a more exciting time than Linden’s town week.

The competition was held at Wisroc/Amelia’s Ward Car Park last Sunday in April as scores of domino fans attended the event to witness who would walk away with the $100,000 prize money. The three competing teams were the Cats, Big Landing and Bidders. After some bragging rights and high concentrations among the teams, the Bidders walked away with $100,000 and the Dewar’s Trophy. Cats finished second place and got $50,000 a long with a trophy, while third-place finishers Big Landing were awarded $30,000 and a trophy.
