ANSA McAL Celebrates 30th Anniversary with Cocktail Reception at Marriott

The room’s ambience was vibrant, sophisticated, and celebratory as ANSA McAL celebrated our 30th Anniversary with a Cocktail Reception at the Guyana Marriot Hotel in Kingstown on 28th October. The room consisted of some of Guyana’s most honourable dignitaries, including His Excellency Dr Mohammed Irfaan Ali, President of the Republic of Guyana, The Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Honourable Oneidge Walrond, some cabinet members and other distinguished guests.

For the Group CEO, Mr Anthony N. Sabga III, the descendant of ANSA McAL’s founder, the late Dr Anthony N. Sabga, this monumental accomplishment was his grandfather’s dream. He noted that while some of the world’s leading companies are now setting their eyes on Guyana due to its evolving economic expansion, Dr Sabga realized the country’s business prospects since the sixties. Furthermore, he noted that Guyana is where Dr Anthony N Sabga started his business adventures which laid the foundation of ANSA McAL Group of Companies. In addition, Mr Anthony N. Sabga III seized the opportunity to divulge the company’s plans to expand and diversify ANSA McAL’s landscape in the future to create economic resilience.

Minister Walrond opened her speech with her belief that after three decades of ANSA McAL’s committed service, ANSA McAL should be recognized as a Guyanese company. She challenged the company to be not only a distributor in Guyana for foreign products but also a distributor overseas for Guyanese products considering the future of the country’s economic landscape. As a symbol of appreciation for the government’s continuous support towards ANSA McAL over the three decades, CEO Anthony N Sabga III handed over a vibrant portrait of the ANSA McAL Jubilee Arch erected in 2017 at Cummings Lodge Eastern Highway.
