ANSA McAL Trading limited (AMDI) through its Magnum Tonic Wine and Campari Brands have donated 200 hampers to frontline workers across Guyana.

The donations were made on Tuesday October 6, 2020 at various Police Divisions and Hospitals.

Brand Manager of Magnum Tonic Wine, Jamal Baird met with the Commanders of ‘A’ ‘C’ and ‘D’ Divisions and shared with them that AMDI and the Magnum portfolio understands the level of risks frontline workers are taking at this time.

“We see the level of commitment by our frontline workers in this country and what we are doing in a small way is giving back to them for the job they are doing.

“We know the times are tough at the moment and we hope that our small token of appreciation meets them well at this time,” Baird noted.

In addition, Baird also met with Ward Manager of the Georgetown Public Hospital, Althea Britol and Amanda Fedee-Cole of West Demerara Regional Hospital identifying the impetus behind the donations, noting that it is “important that we support our health workers”.

Senior Superintendent of ‘D’ Division Errol Watts along with Senior Superintendent Simon McBean were both pleased with the donations.

“We are please that at this time ANSA McAL can remember us, we are grateful and thank ANSA McAL for these donations and know it will go a far way in aiding some of frontline officers,” McBean noted.

Hampers were also delivered to Diamond Diagnostic Centre in addition to Bartica, Linden, Essequibo and Berbice.
