Primary Function
Maintenance Manager – Fleet and Facilities to oversee the maintenance and repair of our company’s fleet of vehicles and physical facilities. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, capable of managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and improving the overall efficiency of maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in fleet management, facilities management, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Accountabilities and Duties
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of the company fleet of vehicles (cars, trucks, vans, etc.).
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for vehicle inspections, repairs, and certifications.
- Track and maintain fleet maintenance records and ensure compliance with government regulations
- Analyze fleet performance and recommend cost-effective solutions for repairs, fuel consumption, and replacements.
- Manage vehicle life cycle (from purchase to disposal), including tracking mileage,
servicing, and replacement. - Supervise the upkeep of all company buildings, offices, and other physical infrastructures, ensuring that facilities are safe, functional, and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all facility equipment, HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Oversee repair and renovation projects, including vendor selection, budget tracking,
and project completion. - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (OSHA, fire codes, etc.) and company policies for facility maintenance.
- Manage custodial staff and services to ensure cleanliness and a safe working environment for all locations.
- Any other related duties as requested.
Education:
Completion of bachelor’s degree in business administration/ facilities management or engineering
Experience:
3 years’ experience in a similar field
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of fleet management principles, including vehicle maintenance, leasing, and regulatory compliance.
- Solid understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and facilities management best practices.
- Proficient in budgeting, financial management, and cost control.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
