HSSE Assistant

Job Summary:

The HSSE Assistant will support the HSSE team in ensuring the organization’s compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental regulations. This role involves assisting in the implementation of safety programs, conducting inspections, maintaining records, and promoting a culture of safety across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HSSE policies and procedures.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
    • Support incident investigations, including data collection and reporting.
    • Maintain and update HSSE records, logs, and documentation.
    • Assist in the organization and delivery of HSSE training programs.
    • Monitor and ensure the availability of safety equipment and materials.
    • Support risk assessment processes and recommend corrective actions.
    • Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
    • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.
    • Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations for management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of HSSE regulations and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA) are a plus.
Experience:

1-2 years of experience in a health, safety, security, or environmental role is preferred.
